Where is GMC?

Overview

It is the aim of GM Computing to provide a high standard of after-sales support to all customers. This achieved by:

• A 12-month (or better) parts and labour warranty (return to GMC) on all new equipment supplied. 
• A 90-day (or better) parts and labour warranty (return to GMC) on all second user equipment supplied. 
• Free telephone and e-mail support for all equipment and/or installations supplied for 12 months following purchase.
• Free telephone and e-mail support for all software purchased from GM Computing, including installation and use, for 30 days after purchase.
• On-site support for all equipment and/or installations supplied for a special low call-out charge only (currently £12.00) for 12 months following purchase.
• Rapid turn round of repairs or free loan of computer equipment while yours is being repaired.
• Library of technical books that customers may borrow.
• Download of drivers and other useful software.
• Objective advice on what software to buy for what purpose, with particular emphasis on free or low-cost software, and where to find it.
• Consumables, such as ink cartridges, various papers, blank CDs and DVDs etc at competitive prices.
• Backup of your important files and folders to CD or DVD at low cost.
• Supply of a system recovery disk at low cost.

Any variation in these support provisions for particular equipment or software will be advised in the quotation.

Library

I have quite a large library of technical books. These are available for customers to borrow against a returnable deposit, free for 30 days and for a negotiable fee for longer periods. The books are mainly on computing and many of an “historical” nature that are no longer in print and hard to find.

Download

I have attempted to assemble in the Download section, a collection of software items and documents supporting GMC Products, comprising:

• Electronic copies of handbooks
• Drivers
• Patches

In addition, the Software Sources page provides a large collection of:

• Freeware applications
• Shareware applications.

These may be downloaded as required. If you feel an item is too big for your internet connection to download, it can be supplied via snail mail on a CD for £5.00. If you find any software item pertaining to your computer is missing, please e-mail gmcomputing@millward.org.uk and I will add it to the download page.

Consumables

I keep a selection of consumables for customers, which can be collected or ordered via snail mail. These comprise:

• Ink jet cartridges
• Dot matrix printer ribbons
• CD and DVD blank media
• Plain and special (e.g. photo) printer paper.

My prices are very competitive.
